Myers Briggs Type Indicator
The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is one of the most popular, well respected and widely used personality type tools in businesses worldwide. It’s based on the research of the renowned psychologist Carl Jung and has been developed into a more accessible self-reporting questionnaire.
The purpose of using MBTI in business is to help people develop greater self-awareness of their strengths and ‘blind-spots’ as well as an awareness of why differences occur between people. By understanding what makes us ‘tick’, we can start to understand others better and see the differences between us more positively. We often view people who think differently to us as being a challenge or quite simply wrong! Via using the MBTI framework teams and leaders can operate more effectively together, understand how to play to one another’s strengths as well as to be more respectful and open to different ways of thinking and behaving.
